Cancellation & Refunds

Last updated: [DATE]

Because Seventh Sail is a booking agent and your charter contract is with the charter company (“Operator”), the Operator’s cancellation and refund policy governs your booking. That policy — including deadlines and any fees — is shown in the Operator’s booking documents and charter agreement before you pay.

How it typically works

Operator policies vary, but charter cancellation terms are commonly tiered by how far ahead you cancel (for example, a percentage fee if you cancel within a certain window before embarkation, rising to the full amount close to the start date). Always check the specific policy for your boat.

Payments & refunds

Payments are made directly to the Operator, so any refund is issued by the Operator under their policy. Seventh Sail does not hold charter funds and cannot issue charter refunds, but we’ll help you communicate with the Operator.

Changes to a booking

Date or boat changes are at the Operator’s discretion and may be treated as a cancellation + rebooking. Contact us and we’ll relay your request.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend travel/charter cancellation insurance to cover the deposit and balance against unexpected changes.
